With regards Stuart Peachey's note 92 in ECW Times 52 on 'Parliamentary army notes & curiosities' may I suggest a possible identity for Col. Henry Grey ( la ) ? Since the warrant was issued by the Lord President of Munster it seems possible that this is the same Col. Grey who was killed at the battle of Knocknanuss in 1647 while fighting in Inchiquin's ( Parliamentarian ) Munster Army. It is unlikely that there could be two Colonels of that name fighting in the same army for the same cause at the same time. But I have no further information, my only source being Stevenson's "MacColla", p251. He lists a number of sources for the battle, but does not specify which one provided the information on Grey, though it seems likely that more than one did.
