I would welcome any information on the subject of Cromwell and Free-Masonry as some link between the two is frequently propounded. Does it derive from Falthorne's print of Cromwell between two pillars? Is the idea of Cromwell founding Irish Freemasonry intended as a joke or perhaps propaganda from an Irish Catholic source to dlscourage interest in it? Any comments?
