The musketeer illustration on page 9, issue one of NOTE & QUERIES shows the soldier wearing a Baldric. What evidence is there for musketeers with this type of sword holder, as opposed to the waist belt. This is not to be taken as a criticism of Philip mallards usually meticulous research.
