As a wargamer I find the currently available sets of ARmy Lists- a break down of troop, equipment, numbers and fighting value from which a gamer chooses his army- unsatisfactory. There is ample evidence that the 'official' ratio of 2 musketeers to one Pikeman was rarely adhered to, and that Regional Armies differed in composition to National one. Can anyone help by giving evidence of the numbers of Pikemen, Musketeers and horse in any forces on either side during the Wars to enable me to use more accurate Army Lists?
