Each day two smaller kampgruppes should be created, one to patrol the road to the west and one to patrol to the east. Either or both kampgruppes can be called back to Kurdyumovo if needed. Kampgruppe Hauser is not the local equivalent of the cavalry. They will not be able to operate in defense of the villages south of the Rollbahnen unless they are captured by Soviet units and allow the Soviets to fire on the Rollbahnen. Each vehicle is considered to have suffered three hits. For each vehicle under repair, roll 1D10 at the end of the day. On a die roll of a 1 or a 2. one hit is removed from the vehicle. When the vehicle is fully repaired, the PzKw IIIs are upgraded to the Model F, while the PzKw IVs are upgraded to F1. While under repair, these vehicles may be used for self defense. Any repaired vehicle will be replaced by a new damaged vehicle. (The SdKfz 222 will be replaced by a SdKfz 251/1.) The armored rail trolley has an armor value of 0/0 and is armed with a T:MG. It can carry one stand in the same manner as a tank rider and has a maximum rail speed of 30". Any engineer stand which spends one turn on the tracks under a move full order is considered to have damaged the tracks. A marker is placed at the point of damage. Additional damage can be done every 2" along the rail line. It will take an engineer stand one turn under a move full order to repair and remove the damaged marker so that the rail line can be used. The senior command stand in any village can designate six geographic points for calling off-board artillery. These points must be designated prior to the start of the game. If a command stand needs artillery fire during the course of a day on one of the designated points, roll 1D10 and consult the table below. Subtract 3 from the die if the stand calling for fire is located on the Rollbahnen proper. Add 3 to the dice if there is another fire mission being carried out at the same time.
