The Israeli Defense Forces
in the Yom Kippur War

Israeli Order of Battle

by Greg Novak and Frank Chadwick

The following information is based on the starting formations in each area, and then lists the reinforcing formations. The Israelis shifted units between divisions as need arose, and not all of those shifts are reflected in this listing.

Note: In the case of those Israeli Tank Battalions with 30 tanks listed as present, those Battalions have three companies. If there are 40 tanks present, then the battalion has four tank companies.
