With the victory over the Hunks nearly accomplished in 1950 with the aid of the US Government, the Philippines sent the 10th BATTALION COMBAT TEAM to serve In Korea. Serving first in an antiguerrilla capacity, the 10th BCT was attached to the 65th (Porto Rico) Infantry Regiment as its fourth infantry battalion, apparently on the theory that since both places had been ruled by Spain, both units could speak Spanish. Unfortunately for the officer who had the theory, the members of the 10th BCT couldn't speak Spanish. Nevertheless the 10th BCT was a rather well equipped and trained unit. having the following organization for COMMAND DECISION. 10th BCT (Experienced, Morale 9)
