Special Game Rules

Due to the pure infantry nature of the contest and the need to halt for rest several times, each game turn is treated as 1 hour of time instead of 15 minutes.

The game begins at 0000 hours, May 28. Initial conditions are darkness, with a maximum visibility of 4 inches. Twilight conditions (visibility of 10 inches are in effect for the 0500 and 1900 turns. Full daylight visibility is in effect for the 0600 through 1800 turns. Darkness returns at 2000 hours. The game ends at the end of the 2300 turn.

No stand may recover from a pin result and no command stand may issue a rally or regroup order during darkness or twilight turns.

The British player may not direct mortar or artillery fire or an attack by aircraft at any building.

The British player wins if, at the end of the 2300 turn, he holds the airfield, Darwin, and Goose Green. Failing this, the Argentinian player wins.
