Briefing: Maj. Stanislaus

Among the units assigned to run the rebel forces was the 2nd Battalion of the 9th Brigade of the Yugoslavian Army. The orders given to that command were as follows:

TO: Major Yevgeny Stanislaus
Commanding Officer, 2nd Battalion, 9th Brigade

FROM: Headquarters - 9th Brigade

Please be apprised of the following:

1) Greece has declared support for the Macedonian Rebels.

2) Greek Army Regulars in Brigade Strength have crossed the border and are believed heading towards your area of operations.

3) Bulgarian Army forces have entered Yugoslavia in response to our request for aid.

4) Imperative that you defeat the rebel force that you are facing immediately and prepare for action against the Greek Army.

5) Cooperate with any Bulgarian forces that you may come in contact with. Command is to rest with you.

***EYES ONLY***

6) Be wary of Bulgarian troops. They well may be in this to secure Macedonia for themselves. Above all else, preserve your command.
