Knighthood Clarifications and Additions

KNIGHTHOOD AND THE MIDDLE AGES RULES CLARIFICATION AND ADDITIONS

It is hoped that the following changes and additions to KATMA will help owners of the rules understand them better.

NEW RULES

Rule: One leader per Battle is allowed to call morale checks.

Rule: Squares may only move at their Maneuver Factor speed. Their Charge Increment is equal to one MF. Squares get no road or column bonus.

Rule: Cavalry are limited to L, JLS and LHW on horseback.

Rule: Add character killed -50% to the honor point chart.

Rule: Movement in any woods is at 0-150P movement band unless Unit is leaving the terrain and/or starts within one MF of its edge.

Rule: Sighting in and out of woods is increased to a unit's MF in distance. if two units oppose each other while in the same woods the LOS is temporarily increased to the greater MF of the two units.

CLARIFICATIONS

Rule 1.43 Melee Weapons: Cavalry may only fight with L, JLS, and LHW while fighting from horseback.

Rule 1.54 Misc. costs: Bribes cost 25 points each. Additional ammo is per flight (shot) per figure in the missile unit.

Rule 4.62 Fire Modifiers: Delete part of Weapon bonus that mentions JLS bonus for firing. ILS may not fire as a missile weapon.

Chart 5.65 Close Combat Hit Chart: The advantage box should read +2 to +5.

Chapter Six Morale Results: Note that all morale results effect Automatic Morale. Only Retire, Break and Destroyed apply to General Morale and only Advance applies to Harrassing Morale.
