WRG RULES COMMITTEE FORMED

A committee has been formed to clarify American rule problems for WRG Ancient War Game R Liles, 6th Edition. The committee consists of five men f rom various parts of the U nited States. The purpose of the committee is to clarify 'gray' areas in the rules. The committee has the sanction of Phil Barker and he has begun refering American calls to the committee. The committeeWill respond toall rules corresponclance sentto it if a stamped self-addressed envelope is enclosed. Letters should be mailed to: Kruse Smith (Ancient Period Editor of The Courier) 2345 McFarlane Ave, Lake City, FL 32055. Also several committee members will accept telephone calls concerning rules problems, and their numbers follow their name. The members include: Johnston Hood, Texas, (214) 387-0360, Tom Nazlett, Ohio (614) 695-4940, Ed Mills, Louisianna, Steve Herndon, West Virginia (304) 277-1270, and Kruse Smith, Florida. 'Gray' areas the committee is currently working on include: Mounting and dismounting of Super Heavy Knights, the pavice, and battlefield visibility. Rules clarifications will be published in The Courier.

ERRATA

In the last issue a typo at the bottom of The Courier Masthead (page 1, lower left corner) indicated that the issue was a FEB/MAR issue. In reality it was the MAR/APR issue. I have enough trouble getting this out every other month without slipping in months like that! On page 56 I see that the cartoon "blurb" slipped off somewhere between the final proof and printing. Many said they understood and enjoyed the cartoon anyway but for those who didn't, the blurb was:

    "We were too within range - the proof is coming up now."

RAFM NEW RELEASES

RAFM's popular "Napoleonic Armies" Volume I and 11 are no longer available. They will be re-released combined in one book. A limited stock of hard cover volumes will be available for $20.00. The soft cover version for $12.50. They will also be soon releasing 25mm Selucids for their HelliniStic Armies Line and 25 mm Iroquois Indians. WRG ADDRESS CHANGE

As of the f irst of April, WARGAMES RESEARCH GROUP'S address will be: 35 Long St. Devizes Wiltshire SN10 I NT England. They also announce the long-awaited renaissance (1420-1700) Army lists are due March/April! Watch These pages for availability through The Courier.

FREI KORPS CHANGES ADDRESS

Frei Korps, manufacturers of a popular range of 15mm figures, have moved to a new location. The address is now 25 Princetown Road, Bangor, Co. Down BT20 3TA, Northern Ireland. They apologise for any delays experienced with orders at this time.

In addition they announce the following changes to their figure lines. In the Seven Years War range PSY 20, 21 and ASY 20, 21 have been temporarily withdrawn for remodelling. just released, however, are extra Prussian Infantry and command groups in charging positions, Charging Austrian and Hungarian Infantry will follow soon.

Frei Korps customers should also note that the AM and PS ranges have been withdrawn. However, any figures required to finish armies can still be supplied into 1984. Please state "Required to finish army" at the top of the order form. The new PS range should be issued in 1984 starting with the Thirty Years War and the English Civil War.

Lastly, the French and Indian Wars range is due to be released in January, and cavalry plus cavalry and infantry command groups have been added to the Mexican War Range.

LAMMING MINIATURES RESSURECTED

Aletier and Gallia Productions Ltd. are in the process of restarting production of the Lamming Miniatures line of 25mm figures. Bill Lamming will be working for the company, and we are promised that the existing Lamming range will be expanded and that new lines, such as American Civil War, will be added. In addition to figures for the ACW the line will include buildings and other impedimenta.

Aletier and Gallia produce their own range of Seven Years War figures together with a wide range of buildings, earthworks, and other battlefield accoutrements suitable for a variety of periods. CORRECTION ON ATHENA BOOKS

Volume V-1 Dispatch incorrectly printed the address of Athena Books. it should have been 20 St. Mary's Road, Doncaster S. Yorks DN1 2NP, England. Interested parties should also note that the price quoted on the Italian Army Handbook has been reduced. For dollars orders the price is now L7.50 post free.

NEW LINES FROM STONE MOUNTAIN

Stone Mountain Miniatures have announced a move to a new permanent manufacturing facility. This move has given more production space and has allowed the introduction of two new lines of 15mm figures. (French and Arab Colonials and American Civil War.) Stone Mountain plans several new line releases during 1984. These will include British Colonials and Mexican-American War in 15mm, and Seven Years War in 25mm. Watch for advertisements announcing these releases in future issues of THE COURIER.

DISCOUNTS FROM TRADITION

Tradition Skandinavia announces that because of the present foreign currency situation in Sweden with the strong U.S. dollar, they have decided to give a discount of 25% to all U.S. customers until further notice. The discounts will apply only to goods and not to post and packaging. Tradition manufactures a line of high quality 30mm miniatures and have recently added a range of new Thirty Years War figures.
