RENAISSANCE TOURNAMENT IN LOUISIANA THE COURIER has received notification of a tournament sponsored by the Southern Pike and Shot Federation held in Baton Rouge on April 7th and 8th. Unfortunately, because of the lead-time involved in putting the magazine together, the affair will be over by the time you read this. The main reason for drawing this to your attention, is to publicize the fact that there are Renaissance gamers out there, and that many conventions are now featuring Pike and Shot events. in fact, the period seems to be growing in popularity helped, no doubt, by the abundance ofl5mm lines offering suitable figures and the superb castings in 25mm from Essex Figures. For more information on this period, ARQUEBUSIER is the journal of the Pike and Shot Society and is highly recommended. Details are available in earlier COURIER Dispatches.
