Convention Notes

Simcon VI: Many tournaments and demonstrations including Ace of Aces, Medieval miniatures, ship miniatures, Swashbuckler and Diplomacy. There will also be movies, a dealer area and an open gaming area. Admission will be $4.00 preregistration or $7.00 at the door for the weekend.

Orcon 1984: Wargame, Science fiction, Fantasy, Sports and Family game tournaments will be features, along with industry exhibitors and many special events. Admission will be $15.00 preregistration, or $17.00 at the door for 3 days, $13.00 for 1 day.

CapCon '84: Events will include WWI Naval, WWII Microarmor, WWII Skirmish (54mm), Fantasy miniatures (25mm), ACW (15mm) and more. Convention will be held on the South Terrace of the Ohio Union, Ohio State University, Columbus Campus. Admission will be $2.00 a day for Saturday and Sunday.

Game Faire '84: Note the date change from March to April for this convention. In addition the college clormsthat have been available in past years have been sold and cannot be used. The organizers will offera list of inexpensive motels and there will besome space available in the homes of local gamers for those unable to afford motels. A varied bill of fare includes tournaments, painting and diorama competitions and over 90 games to be taught and played. Admission will be $7.00 preregistered, $9.00 at the door or $5.00 a day. All proceeds to go to a local charity.

MIGS V: A free day of wargaming including Squad Leader, Diplomacy, Star Fleet Battle and WRG Ancients tournaments. other events including a painting competition are scheduled. The hall will open at10:00 a.m. and close at 10:00 p.m.
