Several issues ago we looked at Jacobite Miniatures. They are getting a second look because they are now being produced in the United States by the Ship Shop in Annapolis, Maryland. Jacobite offers a full range of 15mm Napoleonic with special emphasis in Rinebund, Swedish and Danish armies. Although the line is fairly complete (The Russians and Austrians being two notable exclusions) Jacobite Miniatures are most useful for filling the gaps in most armies. They make an excellent line of personality figures and such rarified articles as elite companies of French dragoons, chasseurs and hussars. The figures themselves are slightly larger than MiniFig Napoleonics and suffer in both detail and anatomy by comparison. The cavalry are always two piece castings with the horses being somewhat unimaginative. This is not to say that the figures are not worthy of consideration as they do paint up very nicely and can add a new dimension to any Napoleonic Army.
