Lamming, particularly familiar to Ancients collectors, has released five new figures which should fill gaps in some collections. I received: AG 20 Spartan, RE Roman Heavy Infantry, RC4 Roman Praetorian Cavalry, RE 16/17 Roman Ballista Crew and a Scorpio and Cheiro (spring) ballista. All the figures and the ballistae were cleanly molded with very little flash. The armor, crests and cloth are well detailed and the figures come with separate shields, weapons, and heads. The separate heads and equipment provide a slight variety in poses, needed because of the traditional relative stiffness of the basic Lamming figure. I got a chuckle over the very prominent (Roman) noses of the Roman figures. With the addition of string, wire or a twisted rubber band for the propulsion skeins, the ballistae will be extremely realistic. More Reviews
