G.D.W. EXPANDS THE 'TRAVELLER' SERIES

Game Designers Workshop have made several announcements recently on action they have taken to expand their popular 'Traveller' S.F. Games. G.D.W. will be releasing a hardcover series of books to complement the boxed 'Traveller' sets and paperback booklets. These books will also be linked to the upcoming release of 'Traveller' game software for personal computers. In addition they have licensed Avar products to begin production of 'Adventure Boards' for 'Traveller'. These boards will be printed with a variety of starship deck plans, player aids and referee aids for use with 'Traveller' scenarios and should be available before Christmas.

Seven Years War Association Forms

The Midwest Seven Years War Association has been formed to generate interest in Miniatures Gaming in the period and to provide a focus for a regional association of enthusiasts. The group hopes to sponsor gatherings in different states two or three times annually to play Seven Years Wargames and to produce a newsletter at about the same frequency providing notice of activities, figure & book news, articles from members and a directory of members. NEW FIGURES FROM RAL PARTHA

The latest releases from Rai Partha add to both their Ancient and Medieval lines. The ancient figures are foot and mounted gauls and a Persian command set. The Medieval figures are all Scots and consist of 4 different foot, including a Pikeman and an Archer, and a Mounted Knight, The figures are 25mm and the detail is of the usual high Rai Partha quality.

NEW BOOK ON THE 1812 CAMPAIGN

Hippocrene will soon be releasing a massive detailed work on the Russian campaign of 1812 by George Nafziger. The price will be $40.00. The book includes OB's and discussions of every battle. Maps and full army organizations. Readers familiar with the recent work by George and Mike Gilbert on the Westphalians and Bavarians (Published by RAFM) will be glad to hear that George has two more books at the publisher; one on the British and one on the Russians. The British book contains a complete listing of the service of every regiment from 1803 to 1815. The Russian book has complete divisional organizations, uniform details and tactical formation diagrams as well as details such as the organization of Opolochie Pike Battalions. They provide not only uniform information but also regimental histories.
