World Campaign IV

(PBM game)

by Mark Swanson

World Campaigns IV is a correspondence campaign game in which the 35 players each govern a "third world" nation. The economics rules are simple, diplomacy probably dominant, but unlike most paper units are identified with real formations and equipment (F- 15s, infantry battalions, SAMs, . . .). Rather like a giant, well run miniatures campaign, but the players have no tactical control and the results of combat are determined by some unspecified, abstract, system.

The clear rules and first move cost $8, later moves $5 each from World Campaigns, P.O. Box 338, Dover, NH 03820.
