The Courier put on 14 games and was approached about putting on additional games at other conventions. I participated in a few, notably the newWWI rules by Arty Conliffe, Crossfire, Which I enjoyed immensely and look forward to introducing to the Old Colony Wargamers. Mark, my immediate opponent, completely destroyed my flank attack, eliminating 11 of 15 units. Duke put on Seifried put on an ancient game complete with 25mm sccale pyramid and the Luxor monument. Gorgeous! An interesting game was a recreation of the attack on Pearl Harbor with terrain done in bas relief to give the view from the air. As usual, new terrrain ideas at the convention--I never turn away without a new idea to try. This is Jay Hadley's last show as director of the painting competition--he's taking over as Dealer Coordinator for Cold Wars and Historicon.. Jay has been a major force in improving the competition over the last few years. John Spiess is taking over the position for Historicon '98. More Courier Dispatch News
