CLIMATE: Any Smoke, Gas, or Vapor Spooks are caused by spirits who bring together particles of smoke, gases, or vapors to form a mass, a kind of body which they inhabit and animate. It can be any kind of floating particles that are formed anywhere, as in swamps, laboratories, from fires, etc. Movement rate (base 6") for it is affected by winds, being greater when moving with the wind, as it chooses to do when attacking. Victims who are attacked must save vs. poison or choke, become nauseous, or poisoned, depending upon the type of particles involved. The spirit seeks to envelop its victims, perhaps drawing sustenance from the breaths of living beings as it asphyxiates them, Time involved depends on the size of the mass: small takes slight rounds to suffocate its victim while a medium one takes only six rounds. Moderate winds can blow them away (i.e. gust of wind), and strong winds (i.e. djinn's or a magic whirlwind, Wind walk, etc.) can dissipate the masses, "killing" them. Flammable gases will ignite if attacked with fire- or electrical-based spells or weapons. More Marvelous Monsters!
