XP value: 1,200 This ring will place the wearer into a magical stasis for as long as the ring is worn. The wearer will not succumb to the effects of the passage of time unless the ring is removed (by someone other than the wearer) or the ring's charges are exhausted. When in this magical stasis, the wearer does age some, but only 1 year for each 10 years of actual time. While under the ring's affects, the wearer is surrounded by a faint pale blue glow of magic and is impervious to all attacks. Each 10 years of time passage drains one charge from the ring. When the ring is initially found, it will usually contain 2d12 charges. This item cannot be recharged, and if scanned for magic, it will radiate strong auras of alteration, invocation, and abjuration schools. It is important to note that if a potential ring wearer is suffering the ill affects of a poison and then dons the ring before the poison has completely run its course, the stasis still occurs, but upon awakening from the magically induced coma the poison will continue to act from the point at which it was temporarily suspended from working by the ring's magic. There is a 2% cumulative chance per charge used that the magic of the ring fails catastrophically, rapidly and irreversibly aging the person to death in just a few moments.
