by Steve Zaloga And here we have Volume 18 in Squadron/Signal's "Armor in Action" series. It is only the second volume of the series to deal with American WWII vehicles, the previous one being No. 16, covering the M4 Sherman tank. This present volume covers not only the various models of the M3 and M5 Stuart series but also the pre-war M2 and the M24 Chaffee-hence the lengthy title. The format is identical to previous volumes in this series (see above). But I must say that S/S seems to get a little better at this work with each volume. The photos are excellent, the art (by Don Greer) outstanding and the text and captions most informative. The subject of this volume will be of considerable interest to modelers and armor miniatures gainers (especially since there is not, to my knowledge, another popular work on the subject in print) now that Stuart and Chaffee models are available in several scales. This volume also sells for $3.95. More Book Reviews
