Two issues back we told you about this company's excellent line of 25m Napoleonics and Fantasy figures. Now we bring you news of three new lines by the same people, all in 15mm scale: Napoleonics, Ancients, and English Civil War. 15mm scale means that the figure of a standing man is 15mm tall, not counting any hat. This is reasonably compatible with Scruby's so called 9mm scale, where a man is actually about 13mm tall. The infantry of the two brands could probably be used in the same game (preferably not in the same unit) without looking odd, but Scruby's horses and guns are quite small, even for his own men, and are therefore not compatible with Minifigs. The 15 mm figures are all superb figures quite consistent with their 25mm line, of the finest lead-tin alloy, beautifully cast, with very little flash. What's more the price is right. A strip of 5 infantry or 3 cavalry sells for 40 cents! All these figures are available from the Toy Soldier, Searsport, Maine 04974. Send $1.00 for a complete discount catalog.
