Torres

by Frank Wimmer

I had problems with the game. Too abstract, too much down time too many odd little rules exceptions.

In addition (and this is going to sound *very* picky), I just didn't like the colors of the playing pieces. The brightly colored, shiny knights have Fisher-Price look about them that brought the overall look of the game down.

Anyway, I really wanted to like Torres - I tend to like anything Kramer is involved in designing. In this case, I doubt that I'll ever even bother to play it a second time.

That said, there were some folks at Origins who *loved* this game. My general impression from the responses there was that this is going be one of those games that folks either love or hate. You may be one those who will love, but you should definitely try this one before you buy it.
