This will take place on Sunday 21 February at the Royal National Hotel, Bedford Way, London WCI. The Fair will be open from 9.30am to 4.50pm. Aside from the usual traders doing thelr best to part you from your money (my wife has found a simple answer to this annual problem - she hides my cheque bookl), there will be three special presentations. Colonel John Elting (USARet.) will present A Disrespectful Look at Military History; Dr. Christopher Duffy will talk on Suvorov in Switzerland, 1799: Russia's Conquering Hero (session chaired by Paddy ariffith): and La Garde Imperiale will present Weapons and Uniforms of the Napoleonic Soldier. A new feature for 1999 will be Meet The Author: Leading Authors Autographing Their Books. Stuart Asquith has been appointed as Wargames Dlrector, to preside over the games being presented on the day, including The Last Attack of the Imperial Guards at Waterloo, presented by the Loughton Strike Force.
