LA ARTILLERIA EN LA GUERRA CIVIL : MATERIAL DE ORIGEN ITALIANO ( IMPORTADO POR EL EJERCITO NACIONAL ) - NO 10 IN THE LA MAQUINA Y LAS HISTOTIA SERIES. 3,450 ptas. By A Mortera & J L Infiesta. 112 pages. Spanish text. At last the second in the above companies series on artillery has been published, following on from the book on German guns in Spain. I had reservations about the first book it seemed to lack detail and had missed some lesser known German guns sent to Spain. However this second book is a classic, it goes into enormous technical and historical information and covers each Italian weapon in detail. It has separate chapters on the 65mm/17 mountain gun, the 75mm/27 (covering the 3 versions used), Skoda 75mm/13 mountain gun, the 100mm /17, the 105mm/28, the 149mm/12, the 149mm /35, the 152mm /37, the 260mm /9, the 305mm/17, the 47mm/32 anti-tank gun, 100mm/47 AA gun, the 76/40 AA gun, 75mm/46 AA gun, the lorry-based 75/27 AA gun, and the 20mm/65 AA gun. The book has over 200 b/w and 5 pages of colour photos, with many previously unseen. Almost each gun has one side view line drawing. Well recommended!!!!
