Uniformology On-line Color Plates: for those of you with access to the internet, I would encourage you to go to this company's web page at http://www.uniformologycom for an interesting look at a comprehensive on- line catalog of color uniform plates featuring the works of Knoetel, Marbot and others. This company reproduces color uniform plates on heavy card stock, bound in card covers with taped spines. Each plate is separated by a heavy transparent sheet of paper for protection. I am guessing that these are produced on a color photocopier. I purchased a copy of the Ottenfeld pictures of the Austrian army of the SYW for $44.95 (20 pictures) which seems a little bit pricey, but when you figure it out at about $2.00 per picture, it's good value for your money. You have probably seen many of the Ottenfeld prints in Osprey books and other SYW publications. I also purchased a booklet called "Troops and Standards of Hesse-Cassel in the American War of Independence" for $89.95 and have found this to be invaluable as a painting and flag guide for my AWI Hessian army. A visit to the web site indicates that there is a new collection of Marbot's Malson du Roi (28 color plates) for $58.95 as well as Marbot's French Army and Foreign Troops in French Service during the SYW(22 plates) at a price of $44.95. This nice thing is that you can preview all of the plates on line before ordering, so you know what you are going to get and shouldn't be disappointed.
