The 12th International Napoleonic Fair

by Paul Chamberlain

Sunday 3rd April 2005, 10am to 4pm, Alban Arena, St Albans, Herts.

Following the format established by Lionel Leventhal, the event will feature Trade Stands, War Games, Lectures, and Displays by Napoleonic Regiments and Re-enactment Societies. Mike Oliver of Southend Wargames Club will be once again organising and co-ordinating the War Games. Various Napoleonic Regiments and Societies will be represented, and many will once again be organising displays and drills using the pedestrianised area to the front of the theatre.

The move to St Albans from central London means that the admission drops to £3.50, and that the cost of trade stands has also been considerably reduced, with stands available from just £75 plus VAT. In addition, the organisers continue to offer free promotional and recruitment stands to any Napoleonic Group or Regiment.

There is a multi-storey car park immediately adjacent to the Alban Arena, which is free of charge on Sundays. St Albans is just to the North of London, with the M1, M10, and M25 making it readily accessible by road. There are also two mainline railway stations within walking distance of the venue.
