Partizan Press 26 Cliffsea Grove, Leigh on Sea, Essex. SS9 1NQ I recently received copies of No. 2 & 3 of Napoleonic Notes and Queries (NN&Q). This is a very well presented A5, 32 page periodical from Dave Ryan's Partizan Press. The best way to describe it is that it is, in terms of content, complementary to First Empire. Our two paths seldom cross in terms of subject matter. All reviews by Dave WatkinsIt is in NN&Q that you will find specific information on such diverse topics as Military Kilts and Tartans, Prisoners of War, the invasion of the Viceroyalty de la Plata (Argentina) by the British in 1807, complete with uniform details. To all the British readers who write into tell me "have I heard of Empires, Eagles & Lions from the States" the answer is yes, but have you seen NN&Q. NN&Q has the potential to displace that booklet and the support of the Napoleonic Association. More Reviews
