This event gets bigger and better each year. Aside from the many exhibitors, there will be three special presentations. Col. John R. Elting will present A Disrespectful Look at Military History; Dr. Christopher Duffy will present Suvorov in Switzerland 1799: Russia's Conquering Hero, with this session chaired by Dr. Paddy Griffith; and La Garde Imperiale will present Weapons and Uniforms of the Napoleonic Soldier. A new feature for 1999 will be Meet The Author, where leading authors will be available to autograph their books including David Chandler, Paul Britten Austin, Paddy Griffith, Ian Fletcher, Andrew Uffindell and Peter Hofschroer. There will be Wargames displays by the Loughton Strike Force who will present The Last Attack of the Imperial Guard at Waterloo, and Aboukir Bay will be fought by the Naval Wargame Society. The admission price to the 1999 Napoleonic Fair will be £ 5.00. However, if you present your NA membership card to the Admission Desk, you will receive a discount on the admission, and only have to pay £ 4.00!! Note however, that the discount will only apply on presentation of your card. No membership card, no discount on the admission price. This is a concession that Greenhill Books have granted to the Napoleonic Association, in exchange for many members voluntarily giving their services to help with the Fair on the day. All the above are subject to change More NA
