Reader's Requests
As Research Officer of the Napoleonic Association I am often asked to help with some aspect of a member's research. This is one function of the Study Groups, in that the request is sent to the relevant Co-ordinator for action. I have had a request from Alan Gruber regarding Norwegian uniforms and army details.
He would like information on a variety of Norwegian matters. He has a picture of a Norwegian in civilian clothes with skis and musket entitled ALMUEBEVEBNINE 1808. Can anyone throw any light on this? He is also looking for information on the uniforms of various Norwegian units, and the Norwegian order of battle for 1808.
If you know of any good reference sources for this information please send them in to the Editor, who will see that they reach him.
