    Some notes on Iranian forces:
The 16th Armoured Division had Chieftain tanks. On mobilisation it had:
1st Tank brigade: 2 tank bttns, 1 mech bttn, 27 tanks, 19 APCs
2nd Tank brigade: 2 tank bttns, 2 mech bttns, 38 tanks, 23 APC
    1st arty Bttn: 16x M109A1
    2nd Arty Bttn: 7x M109A1
    3rd Arty Bttn: 9x M109A1

The 84th Mech Inf Bde was an independent unit with:
    1 tank bttn, 1 arty bttn, 3 inf bttns with 48 tanks and 14x 105mm M101

Corps artillery units seem to be full strength, ie 12x M110 or M107 on average. Looking at the file, it could have been 22nd, 44th or 55th artillery group supporting the defence of Dezful. Incidentally the map shows 92nd armoured division defending Dezful, which had operational:
    in Dezful itself: 2nd Tank Brigade: 2 Tank, 1 Mech, 1 Arty Bttns, 31 Chieftains, 21 APCs, 6x M109A1
1st Tank brigade (south of Dezful): 2 Tank, 3 Mech Bttns with 85 tanks, 16x APC
3rd Tank Brigade (south of Dezful): 2 Tank, 2 Mech bttns with 42 tanks, 38x APC
    3 Div Arty Bttns sharing 35x M109A1

    The 22nd Arty Group had: 12x M107, 5x 8″ M115, 2 bttns@ 10x M46 130mm guns; 1 bttn: 10x BM-21-40
    The 44th arty Group had: 14x M46, 12x BM-21-40
    The 55th Arty Group had: 9x M109A1, 10x M46, 12x BM-21-40
The 55th Airborne Brigade had 5 bttns in trucks and jeeps. However elements of the brigade had been involved in a coup and had been purged, so it wouldn’t have any better command rating than other units.

Dezful had active F-5E units, which launched hundreds of sorties against the Iraqi advance on Dezful, see Middle East at War no.5 The Iran Iraq War Vol.1 ER Hooton, Tom Cooper, Helion & COmpany, pg.22

The Iraqi brigades have 4 bttns and 1 artillery bttn, the 4 bttns being 3 mech & 1 tank in Mech Bdes, vice versa in tank brigades.

From vol.2 of the Helion’s Iran-Iraq war book, page10, shows Iraqi 1st Mech Div with 1st, 27th Mech Bdes, 34th armoured brigade.
10th armoured Division has 17th, 42nd armoured bdes and 24th Mech Bde. It appears the Mech bde was used to isolate the region to the north, with the 17th Armoured Bde heading the attack followed by the 42nd Armoured Bde, supported by 24 batteries. Photos do show the Iraqis with T-62s so your suggestion would be correct. Other photo shows Iraqi SA342 Gazelle in use over Dezful, so perhaps they can have 3 stands of them, armed with 20mm cannon it seems.

The Iranian 2nd Bde/92nd had at least 3x M150 TOW vehicles. If I remember rightly each divison had 12x M150 in a divisional company, so for MSH you can allocate one stand of M150 per brigade. It also appears that the divisional recce regiment of the 92nd Armoured Division was not in the area at the time of the battle.
The F-5Es made extensive use of CBUs in 324 sorties over 14 days, giving you an average 23 missions a day, or in MSH terms 6 flights of F-5E/CBU per day.
Still haven’t found anything on airfrield AA units. It could be as good as a battery of HAWK SAMs, or as little as a battery of ZU-23-2, with variations in between of 40mmL60 Bofors, 37mm (M39??) and 57mm S60 in between,

The link does indeed work, very interesting!
It then seems that the 17th Brigade was using T72s!
Maybe it was worth to keep it until the final push to Dezful, so my game might have two battalions of T72. I will keep it as an option.
