Sasanians 6mm

Just started restoring and basing ancient armies painted by Francesco. I have begun with Sasanian cavalry. Actually the army was mostly cavalry.

Figures are Irregular, with some Heroics and Ros units here and there.

Here my list of based figures, in Bold based and flocked, 141 bases in total:

• 6 close order infantry (+8)
• 12 light cavalry, arab (+4)
• 8 light cavalry, Sassanian (+6)
• 27 noble cavalry (+31)
• 5 javelinmen
• 8 archers (Heroics)
• 16 archers (Irregular)
• 4 elephants (+6)

Other figures need sorting and basing.

I have chosen to use 25mmx25mm bases as the basic size, I will use some 50mmx25mm when the Irregular base is too big, mostly for Skirmish troops.

Figures are roughly organised in units made of four bases, but the ruleset I like uses a variable number per unit, while “To the Strongest”, on 7.5cm grids, will need 3-bases units.
