Midgard

Yesterday night we played a very enjoyable game. We have used the Midgard rules, by Reisswitz Press, to fight a Troyan War game. The marvellous figures in the photos below have been painted by Vittorio.

The game flowed very well, with the Troyas attacking aggressively on the flanks with Hector and another minor hero.

Hector routed two chariot units but succumbed against the Achean Commander in Chief, not in single combat but in a general melee.

Great game overall! The rules are very sound and would work well for other periods, like Dark Age and Fantasy.
