Bethlen Hungarians.

I just picked one battalion as my next painting choice. Figures are from Minden, I had found a battalion of 16 on eBay and then I ordered the missing 8 from Fife and Drum (US).

The idea is to have some troops which might be used for the Austrian Succession, so all Austrian Minden figures will be dedicated to early units. All for a change respect to the standard Seven Years War units, all Front Rank and Crusader which I have prepared so far.

Flags have been just prepared by the prolific “Not By Appointment” artist. He does marvellous flags, I would like to paint a battalion for each flag present on his site, an impossible target.

I will paint it in the 1740s uniform colours, for a change respect to the blue or sky blue ones. Here some details.

I shall paint one of these uniforms, which are relative to the War of Austrian Succession. The grenadier in the middle has a uniform which looks similar to the one shown on Kronoskaf, from 1757, but earlier.
