Preparing for the Great battle of Mitzicken
Getting ready for a large battle game, to be played with my good friends Fabrizio, Leonardo, Maurizio, Marco, Mauro, Riccardo. Let us hope that the weight of lead and us will not make my place collapse.
The idea is to play a bath-tubbed historical game, as suggested by Keith and Charles Grant. The game will be taken by one of the Grant’s books and adapted to the Honours Of War rules, by far my rules of preference to play 28mm Seven Years War games.
The two armies will be Prussia and Austria, adding some Image-Nation but plausible allies which might have taken part to the battle.
I need to hurry to the painting table to prepare:
- battalion gunners for my Prussian battalion guns, already painted;
- one unit of Grenzers. much needed;
- it might be good to add one Austrian Grenadier battalion, I might paint it as from the times of the War of the Austrian Succession, with nice flags and slightly more colourful that the SYW units.
Coming next to your table!
