Lobositz BBB
Hello, here my first scenario. It is an adaptation from a Volley and Bayonet book.
Here you may find a quicksheet I have prepared for the Seven Years’ War. It is an adaptation of the Napoleonic sheet which is available from Groups.io BBB. In red my adaptations for the period.
Suggestions for rules changes
Given the suggestions below, in italics, you may find below what I have included in the new sheet.
I would therefore suggest:
Suggestions from Chris
Make all formation changes cost a full move.
Penalize movement out of arc more for infantry, say -6″.
Give outflanking assaults a +3 rather than +2.
Penalize movement that does not conform to a ‘regulating battalion’: something like, the first infantry unit to move gets no penalty and is treated as the regulating battalion (or brigade); each unit after that suffers a -1 on its movement roll if it does not declare that it will confirm, and then finish its move within 3″ of the previous one to move.
Reduce artillery movement to 6″.
I was thinking of allowing only front rank bases to shoot in order to make units more linear.

The scenario for Germantown 1777 has some rule changes
from Alan, see below
- Units may not form themselves in Depth, but may claim Depth if another unit supports it.
- Only 1 rank may ever fire.
- Cavalry have no firearms and may not dismount.
- Cavalry may support infantry if Cavalry is deployed in line.
- Cavalry and Skirmisher Only Units may always evade.
- If performing passage of lines the Unit passed through may not move but may roll to reorder.
- Disordered units may not count Devastating Volley.
- Skirmisher Only Units can only charge other Skirmisher Only Units.
- Skirmisher Only Units are always treated as Outflanked in melee by heavier troops (inc. Cav).
- Skirmisher Only Units may not provide support or be supported.
