Cheriton wood extent might be less than what is now, as can be seen looking at the two battle maps I have uploaded.

In our game Parlamentarians will be able to deploy on a long hill, in a gap between the wood and the village of Cheriton, which are distant about 1.2 miles (2400 paces, about 100 cm in our scale) between each other.

The wood is yet on a second hill in the middle right of the battlefield.

Royalists deploy on top of a third long hill, right beyond the wood. They have the wood on their left.

The two armies start at a distance of 1.2 mile, again 100 cm.

The game will be played on a standard 180×120 table.
