Castiglione 1796
History of the battle from the Castiglione Wikipedia Page.
This battle is played using V&B rules and 2mm armies from Stefano.
Battle Roster follows:
The initial troop dispositions must follow the historical settings, but battle plan is left to the generals, and reinforcements may arrive at different times.
Tutte le truppe sono di morale 4, salvo i granatieri che sono di 5, e le truppe di Mitrowsky che sono di seconda linea, morale 3.
Unit Labels
I have also made labels for playing using the VLB computer program.
Battle Maps
Scale on table is 25cm = 1km. One battalion in line of 500-600 men occupies about 200m. Troops move about 1m per hour on table.
Orders travel at a faster speed, but can be changed only by troops which have an active “Change of Situation”, new enemy threat or messages from other officers in their command chain.
