Order of Battle Notes
for the Greek ‘A’ Corps

Southern Russia and Asia Minor Campaigns

by Rudy Scott Nelson

The Order of battle for the units involved in both the Southern Russia Campaign and the Asia Minor campaign would remain basically the same. A few attachments or detachments for other missions may have occurred.

The Southern Russia Campaign, 1919 covers the battles fought with the reinforcements sent by the Greek Army ( A' Army Corps -  II and XIII Divisions - )  to the Ukraine between January - May 1919 to help the French, Roumanian, British and White Russian forces against the forces of the Russian Red Army.

The complete transportation of support units did not arrive in Russia before the units were transferred to Asia Minor. The Corps was evacuated to Bessarabia, Roumania then and finally to Asia Minor to take part in the Asia Minor Campaign 1919 - 1922 (The War of Independence for the Turks). The last Greek units left Romania on July 17, 1919.
