HEINZ von DAVIDSON (6153-2000)
, born 29 December 1918 at Kiel, Class 1937a. Was posted to Torpedoboat T-110 from April 1939 to September 1939 when he went into the (sea) Flying School until January 1940, Bordfliegerstaffel 1./96. He served on the heavy cruiser ADMIRAL HIPPER, the battleship TIRPITZ and the heavy cruiser LUTZOW from January 1940 to January 1942. He was in U-Boat Training February 1942 until July 1942, then was posted to U-135 as I.W.O. To the U-Boat Skipper’s School and Baubelehrung from December 1942 to February 1943. He was then posted to U-281 as Skipper from 27 February 1943 until the end of the war. Promoted to Kapitänleutnant 1 August 1944. He remained a P.o.W. until 1 July 1947 and is living today and a Member of Sharkhunters.

Max DIETRICH
, born 6 September 1914 Mannheim, Class 1934. Seconded to Luftwaffe October 1936 until March 1941 when he was posted to U-Boat training and was in school from March 1941 to July 1941. Upon graduation, he was posted to the 24th U-Boot Flotilla from July 1941 until August 1941. From September 1941 to January 1942, he was in the U-Boat Skipper’s school then aboard U-572 as commander in training. From February 1942 to 30 June 1942 he was Skipper of U-78, then he went to Baubelehrung from July 1942 to August 1942. He was then posted to U-637 as commander, 27 August 1942 to 22 February 1943. From there he was posted to the 5th U-Boot Flotilla February 1943 to March 1943. On 1 April 1943 he was promoted to Kapitänleutnant and put on the staff of the 30th U-Boot Flotilla April 1943 to August 1943. He was then Comp. Cdr. At the 1.ULD (1st U-Boot-Lehr-Division or school Division) from August 1943 to January 1945. As the war was closing in, he was made Commander of Naval Infantry Battalion 1 from 21 January 1945 until the end of the war.

Kurt DOBRATZ
, born 9 April 1904 Stettin, Class 1922. Seconded to the Luftwaffe; CDR II.(K)/Lehrgeschwader 1 July 1939 to August 1940; IIa Staff Luftflottenkommando 5 August 1940 to March 1943; also Cdr. 1./KG 26 June 1941 to March 1943. On 1 April 1943, reverted to OKM (Navy) jurisdiction. U-Boat training April 1943 to August 1943; promoted to Kapitänleutnant 1 June 1943. He was acting C.O. 24th U-Boot Flotilla then went to U-Boat Skipper’s School and Torpedo Course 55 September 1943 to January 1944. Baubelehrung 8.KLA January 1944 to March 1944. He was Skipper of U-1232 (a fairly successful U-Boat at that time in the war) from 8 March 1944 to 31 March 1945. Knights Cross on 23 January 1945. He was promoted to Commanding Admiral of U-Boats abroad Dar es Salem then to Chief of Staff Commanding Admiral U-Boats April 1945 to May 1945, then was Charge d’Affairs Commanding Admiral U-Boats May 1945 to the end of the war. He was P.o.W. until 26 February 1946.

Ulrich DREWS
, down 24 May 1916 at Tilsit, Class 1936. He was seconded to the Luftwaffe September 1939 to March 1943, when he was posted to U-Boat training from April 1943 to September 1943. Promoted to Kapitänleutnant 1 April 1943He then had courses and U-Cdr under Instruction 23rd U-Boot Flotilla October 1943 to December 1943. Then was Baubelehrung 5.KLA December 1943 to January 1944. On 20 January 1944, he was given command of U-321 until August 1944 then back to Baubelehrung Type XXI 8.KLA from September 1944 to January 1945. He was commander of U-2534 from 17 January 1945 to 8 May 1945.

Jürgen EBERT
, born 25 September 1916 at Osterburg, Altmark. Class 1937a. Seconded to Luftwaffe September 1939 to June 1943 when he was sent to U-Boat Training and Skipper’s School July 1943 to April 1944. Promoted to Kapitänleutnant 1 August 1944 and he also took U-Boat Commander’s Torpedo Course 65. Baubelehrung 5.KLA April 1944 to June 1944, then was posted as Skipper of U-927 from 27 June 1944 to 24 February 1945. He and his entire crew were lost on 24 February 1945 when their boat was sunk by aircraft of British Squadron 179.
