We ran this caution in KTB #123 last month, and several calls have come in here from Members who have seen this Kriegsmarine veteran at various shows all over the USA - selling ‘his own Hitler Youth Dagger’ that he personally carried as a HJ leader. It is amazing how many of these daggers he carried as a HJ leader.....

I remember when I visited this man in his home some years ago and he showed me an entire BOX full of U-Boat Combat Badges (U-BOOTSKRIEGSABZEICHEN); there must have been 100 or more in the box. He told me that he was awarded this badge during the war. I said that I understood that he earned ONE badge, but why did he have more than 100? He did not answer.

Now we are told that he is also selling ‘his own personal’ U-Boat Combat Badge at these shows. Don’t you just have an image of a buyer, proudly walking away with this prized purchase and the grinning veteran pulling another of ‘his own personal’ U-Boat Badges from under the table for the next sucker - I mean buyer?
