The examples below show a typical series of emergency messages concerned with a fire discovered in battery aft. The same forms are used for other emergencies such as chlorine and collision

FROMOVERORDERS and REPORTS
Battery AftXJASilence on the line. Fire in battery aft.
Control1MCFire in battery aft. All stations rig for fire then report in turn from forward aft.
ControlXJABattery aft, open battery disconnect switches.
Battery aftXJAControl, fire checked in battery aft.
Battery aftXJAControl, fire stopped in battery aft.
Control1MCAll compartments, secure from fire.
