That was a headline on page 18 of KTB #118 last month. As I read it over, I realized that as an American, I understand this type of humor as do most Americans - but with Members in 57 countries, it is possible that some readers will not understand what is really meant.

What was really meant is that Governments DO lie. They do not call it lying but rather, they give lies nice names like ‘disinformation’ or ‘misinformation’ but they tell lies just the same.

Pages upon pages, volumes upon volumes could be produced which list all the many lies told by just about every Government but that is neither the direction of SHARKHUNTERS nor the point of this editorial. The point of this is to inform all Members that Governments do lie and that just because something is reported as fact by certain agencies of various Governments, it is not always true. Please keep this in mind while reading the ‘INTELLIGENCE PAGE’ and other new information revealed in our KTB Magazine

Anyone who believes that Governments never lie and always tell the honest truth probably still believe in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny - and they are in for a big shock in months to come.
