From the information received from WERNER K. HOFFMANN (327-LIFE-1987) we learn that U-862 made the trip to the Far-East with a cargo of ‘QUICKSILBER’ which usually means Mercury, but when that item appeared on the manifest of another cargo boat, U-234, it meant URANIUM. Was this Mercury or Uranium?
