Count Dracula was the nickname of Hans Trojer, Skipper of U-221. He was born in the Siebenbürgen (Transylvania) region of Romania where the original Count Dracula (VLAD, the IMPALER was the real name of Count Dracula) and he featured a heavy, coalblack, square beard. This beard gave him quite a look that scared some folks a bit.
