Over the past few issues of our KTB Magazine, we have profiled the submarine arm of the Bundsmarine, the Navy of the Federal Republic of Germany. ComSubs of the Bundsmarine is KAPITÄN zur See KURT PFENNIG (2390-1992).
The 3rd U-Bootgeschwader is based at Eckernförde near Kiel, and consists of 12 submarines, all are the newer 206 ALPHA Class.
- U-15, U-16, U-17, U-18, U-22, U-23, U-24, U-25, U-26, U-28, U-29 and U-30.
Our SHARKHUNTERS Group will visit this base in September of 1995, and will tour on board the boats. We hope YOU are with us!
