From the data compiled by CAPT. BOB THEW (333-+-1987) we learn that the 8th largest ship ever sunk by submarine was the 23,722 ton British merchant ship (a troop ship) STRATHALLAN. She was sunk by U-562 under Hamm on 21 December, 1942. For KTB #110 next month, what was the 7th largest ship ever sunk by submarine and what was the submarine?
