MISSION PROFILE: HOUSE STEINER COLONY NEW HORIZON 3025

TO: BATTALION COMMANDER FROM: PERIPHERY COMMAND

MISSION: RETAKE NEW HORIZON

A company-size force of Mechs with infantry and light armor support has occupied our colony on NEW HORIZON. The colony is very small, but we cannot allow Pirate forces to occupy our sovereign territory.

Your orders are to travel to NEW HORIZON via Dropship Harkon, seek and destroy the enemy, and return.

Caution: the normal rules of engagement may not apply The occupying -force is of no House.

TO: COMPANY COMMANDER FROM: BATT. COMMANDER

MISSION: SEEK AND DESTROY ENEMY AND ENEMY HQ

A portion of the Pirate force is occupying a small settlement far from the central colony. Companies B and C will be concentrating on the Pirate's main force at the central colony. Take your company, seek the Pirates in and around the small settlement, and eliminate them. Assign your lances as necessary to attack the scattered Pirate forces simultaneously. It is important they not be allowed to concentrate their strength.

(Attacker's Instructions)

TO : LANCE B COMMANDER FROM : COMPANY A COMMANDER

MISSION: CONTAIN AND DESTROY PIRATE HALF -- LANCE

SEEK AND DESTROY POSSIBLE ENEMY HQ

The bandits apparently are having trouble with our colonists, as they have dispersed their meager forces around the small settlement.

Take your Lance and assault two medium Mechs which we have determined are based near Hill 21106/NE 1571.43. Analysis of enemy signal traffic indicates a bandit HQ may be in that area.

Begin your assault at the predetermined time, Do not allow the enemy- mechs to escape. Bag the HQ if you can find it. The enemy is poorly equipped, but their training and exact weapon mix cannot be determined at this time.

You are NOT allowed to lose any Mechs during this operation. House Steiner must not suffer even a minor loss during this operation. There are jackals and vultures aplenty who would relish such a sign of weakness, and we cannot garrison all of House Steiner's colonies. They must not be emboldened to attack, Use appropriate caution, but contain and then destroy the enemy.

Mission Objective Recap: Attack on schedule. Contain enemy Mechs. Destroy enemy Mechs. Seek and Destroy enemy HQ. Do not Lose Mechs in the process if at all possible.
