The numbers of troops are fairly even; each side has (c.a.) a 601 point AW army, with 8 heroes. The sub-commands may differ in points, but not necessarily impact. The Trojans have more chariots and the Amazonian armored and skirmish cavalry, whereas the Greeks have more and better armored warbands.

There are number of special scenario rules involving champions and dueling, heroes and antiheroes. Please refer to Sagas 82 and 83 for details (although they continue to evolve with each playing of the game).
