    e. EZHUAHUANCATL-supreme council member
    f. TLILLANCALQUI-supreme council member
    g. TIYAHCAHUAN-senior commanders/generals, councillors, "valiant warriors"
    h. TIACHCAUH-master of youths (young)
    i. TELPOCHTLAHTOH-ruler of youths (adult)
    j. TLACOCHCALCATL-commanding general* (four or more captives)
    k. TLACATECCATL-general*
    l. CUAUHTLAHTOH-chief*
    m. TOPILEH-"constable"*

    d. OTOTIN-Otomies* (honour for 5-6 captives)
    e. CUACHIC-Shorn Ones* (honour for many captives)
    - CUAUHNOCHTEUCTLI, TLACATECCATL and TLACOCHCALCATL were members, head painted half blue and half red or yellow.
    *-honours above military orders

UNIFORMS AND INSIGNIA

FACE PAINT
red and yellow stain indicated one captive taken
TIYAHCAHUAN (valiant warriors) used black facial stripes BODY PAINT
black for valiant warrior

UNIFORMS
red TLAHUIZTLI for capturing two men
butterfly back banner and shell TIMATLI for three captives
OCELOTOTEC war garment given to those who took four captives
green TLAHUIZTLI for five captives
yellow TLAHUIZTLI for CUACHIC

WEAPONS AND ARMOUR

WEAPONS

    a. ATLATL-dart thrower (over 180 ft or 55 m range)
    b. bow-300-600 ft or 90-180 m range
    c. sling-over 660 ft or 200 m range
    d. TEPOZTOPILLI-thrusting spear or halberd, 6-7 ft or 1.8-2.2 m
    e. MACUAHUITL-sword/mace, 3.5 ft or over 1 m
    f. MACANA -clubs (various types and sizes)
    g. CHIMALLI -shield

ARMOUR

    a. ICHCAHUIPILLI-cotton body armour for torso, usually unbleached
    b. TLAHUIZTLI -warsuit worn over body armour and covered all limbs
    c. helmet
    d. EHUATL -type of protective vest and skirt for officers
    e. TIMATLI -cape or mantle worn by officers and honoured warriors (status symbol)
